About Me!

Hi I'm Anis! I am a self taught illustrator and the person behind coconutterist.
Despite not having as many technical skills, I love doing all sorts of creative things. My goal for my art is about spreading all sorts of messages - of joy, pain, and resistance. And this is definitely highlighted in my new project Foobs & Grog. I am so excited to keep working on my craft and showing what I have in store, and to keep creating stories and illustrations that make people feel heard and seen.

Hi I'm Anis, and I'm the creator behind Foobs and Grog!F&G is my passion project showcasing my love for storytelling and sharing my observation of the world in a way that I hope is joyful and heartwarming yet authentic to how I view things. I hope to show aspects of myself through Foobs and Grog as they are based on my personality and my struggles after all!Grog represents my anxiety and fears and the aim to break free from those fears. Grog is a little bit overwhelmed all of the time just like me. And on the other hand, foobs represents my chaos: the hyperactive impulsive parts. Together they work as a dynamic team to work through life and make the best of what they’ve been given.Foobs and Grog takes what once was a personal experience, occasionally intense, that can be better digested for myself, and hopefully can do the same for others too.
